The Sacramento Kings are serving up a new culinary experience for fans, previewing the Golden 1 Center's revamped food menu for the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season. Chef Rod Cuadra, recently returned from Napa Valley, is leading the charge with a lineup of elevated concessions.

Chef Rod Cuadra is introducing several signature dishes across the arena. The new menu includes a chicken parm sandwich served on a Pugliese roll with Bianco DiNapoli tomato sauce, available in Section 106. Fans in Section 121 can get a rotisserie chicken sandwich featuring pulled Mary's Chicken with aioli, pickled onions, and slaw on a potato bun.

Another standout is the ahi poke nachos in Section 112, featuring chunks of fish with sweet soy glaze and avocado crema on wonton chips. A smoked turkey leg with housemade barbecue sauce and a vegan black bean burger with jalapeno aioli round out the major new offerings. Cuadra stated the goal clearly: "The food is no different from going to a restaurant outside. You're getting a great dining experience here as well."

Rod Cuadra is the new chef for Golden 1 Center via Legends Hospitality. He actually worked for Legends before the arena opened in 2016, but left Sacramento to run fine dining kitchens in Napa Valley. His experience includes leading kitchens at the Silverado Resort and aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train.

Now back in Sacramento, he's applying that upscale culinary knowledge to arena concessions. This marks his first season in the lead role, and he aims to make it the best food the venue has ever seen.

The team is looking for any edge to boost the fan experience, especially as they work to build consistency on the court.

Elevating amenities like food is part of the franchise's broader effort to make Golden 1 Center a premier NBA destination, regardless of the night's final score.

The focus is on quality ingredients and restaurant-level execution. The chicken parm uses a crackly Pugliese roll from Bella Bru Baking Co. The rotisserie chicken sandwich comes with a side of fries. Each item is designed to be a complete, satisfying meal.

This isn't standard arena fare. It's a deliberate move to compete with downtown Sacramento's restaurant scene. The Kings want fans to remember the meal as much as the game's highlights. With a chef of Cuadra's pedigree now in charge of concessions, that goal seems well within reach for the 2026-27 campaign.
